CLOTHING
i try to style my clothes for every shape and size... ya know, for us "normal" people... everyone has their own unique fit... here are some tips on how to take your measurements.

All of my creations are handmade... therefore there are no "exact" sizes. I find it best to measure and compare. Pull out a shirt or a pair of pants, lie them flat on the floor, measure them and compare with the measurements I have posted in the item description. I will make special notes in the description if the item can be hemmed or altered. Most are sold as is. I do take custom orders.
All my fabric is pre-washed and comes from a smoke-free home. I use a Husqvarna Rose sewing machine (which also does embroidery - coming soon!), and a Husqvarna 4-thread Serger.
I put a lot of love and time into all my creations... and a lot of detail. All my appliques are hand drawn... everything is one-of-a-kind.

ACCESSORIES
wallets ~ I've been making these wallets for 7 years now! and wow, have they evolved throughout the years...
In my newest design (the ones available on this site) the wallets are made of corduroy and lined in cotton. Inside is one billfold pocket, 3 card pockets on the left side, 1 card pocket and a vinyl ID pocket on the right. On the back is a zipper coin pocket. To keep the wallet closed, I added a corduroy tab that attaches to a button on the back. Most of my wallets have a hand drawn applique on the front, but I have made plain and simple ones before.
My wallets measure 4" x 4.5" when closed, and 8" x 4.5" when opened.
All fabric is pre-washed and all seams are serged and top stitched when needed.
bags ~ so much fun to make! I usually make bags out of corduroy but I have used home decor and interfaced lined cottons. I reinforce the seams to insure quality.
My bags very in size... from the small "show" purse to messenger bags, diaper bags, school bags, and coming soon - laptop bags! I also make travel bags and zipper change purses.
I usually add a hand drawn applique to the front of my bags, but sometimes I make them plain and simple. I really like pockets, so I add a lot of those, too - inside and out!
All fabric is pre-washed and all seams are serged and top stitched when needed.
ipod cozies ~ I've been making these for about 3 years now and they're so much fun! I usually make them to fit 20-60 gig ipod's, but I have made some for the little ones, and I'm working on iphones...
Most of the cozies are made with an applique on the front and a little pocket on the back for headphones. But, I sometimes make them with a belt loop on the back and the headphones pocket on the front. All of them have a loop that buttons on the front, securing the ipod inside. I line the cozies in a fusible fleece for padded protection.

RECYCLED GOODS
Now this is something I've been kinda doing for a while, and I've applied it different ways in clothing and accessories. When I first started to sew, I would make a trip to the thrift store and find old corduroy and cotton clothes to take back home, cut up, and sew... a lot of the corduroy I use in my wallets are made from recycled corduroy.
I still find some treasures at thrift stores and vintage stores, but instead of cutting them up for fabric, I keep them as they are, and alter them a bit. Pants, tops, skirts and dresses are rejuvenated... I'm having a lot of fun with this and hope to have more of these lost, found, and remade treasures available.
